Finding the Right Symbol: From Myth to Game Design
In my search for a visual anchor, I explored mythological references: Yggdrasil, the world tree, and the Triquetra. I realized early on that mythology could support the game’s metaphor but should never overwhelm it.
The Triquetra’s threefold balance—branches, loops, and symmetry—mirrored SUPERA’s three trees and three planes. Inspired by Nartissima’s organic illustration, the symbol became a visual scaffold: a subtle echo of stability, interconnection, and respect for the forest, without turning the game into a fantasy storybook.
